Environment, Conservation and Land

The background to the long-sustained argument about environment, conservation, land and local communities are conflicts between the government’s development policy and its implementation, such as commercial logging, large-scale infrastructure development, ecotourism and plantation. As a result, research on this topic appears to have gained attention worldwide. Some argues that Native land tenure systems should be considered in developing policy for natural resource conservation. Keeping in mind that national policy in turn affects Native land management systems. This site is dedicated for discussion about land tenure of the Native Peoples in Borneo and hopes to transform some of the outcomes into various directions, reflecting the dynamics of the natural, social, and economic environment. This, we hope in a small way could improve the visibilities of the Native Peoples of Borneo. So, welcome. Your comments and active participations are greatly appreciated
